Autistic Artist and Activist
Oliver Yu Chan is an artist, who paints incredibly detailed, colourful and energetic depictions of London life, which provide us with a window into his unique perspective.
Oliver started drawing daily from the age of 11 and began painting at the age of 12. He went on to study a BTEC, foundation and diploma where he developed and refined his technique and distinctive style. Since then, Oliver has taken part in solo and group exhibitions across London, has completed commissions and sells his original artwork and prints.
Art is more than just a hobby for Oliver, it is a means for him to meet people, be part of a community and spark conversation. Oliver is passionate about the environment and causes relating to social justice and inclusivity. Oliver uses painting to express his feelings, highlight issues he feels passionate about and to channel his anxiety.
